Martyn Whiteman is the head of our Medical Law Team. His team have acted for a range of different sized medical practices. They have advised on employment matters, drafted partnership agreements and implemented various types of property owning schemes.

The Medical Law Team is familiar with national and cost-rent provisions and advises partnerships on the structure of their partnership , as well as the introduction and retirement of partners.

Property development and purchase

• Advice on funding a property purchase, negotiating development purchase and funding agreements.

Partnership agreements

• Advising on the retirement and introduction of partners, considering the terms of practice arrangements and advising on the implementation and effect of buyout provisions on retirement.

Employment contracts

• Advising on the statutory requirements for employment contracts, drafting contracts and employment policies. The team also provide Employment Tribunal representation in the event of a staff dispute.
