Separation advice
It may be that a divorce is not the right decision for you at this time. For example, some couples decide to separate for two years, and then issue a Divorce Petition based on the fact of two years’ separation with consent.
To protect your assets, you may want to enter into a Separation Agreement detailing how financial assets are to be dealt with over the next two years. The Separation Agreement can then be incorporated into a binding, final agreement when it comes to a divorce.
