Ministry of Justice confirms that referral fees in personal injury claims are to end

Those following our daily articles will know that we have been monitoring the Law Society's and other bodies' 'push' for the abolition of referral fees in personal injury claims.  It has now been confirmed by the Ministry of Justice that such fees are to end.  Justice Minister, Jonathan Djanogly made the point that referral fees were one of the causes of motor insurance premiums being so high and unfairly penalising good and innocent drivers in the UK.  See our last article on 18th July 2011 and follow us for more news on this subject, not least the date on which the fees will be abolished.
