The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) has reported that a company has been fined and ordered to pay costs after a worker was injured following a wall collapsing on him during the course of his work. The company was carrying out groundworks and during the works, an existing wall collapsed, trapping the worker underneath, causing a serious fracture that required surgery.
The HSE has reported that the company failed to properly plan, manage and have sufficient control measures in place for the installation, to prevent the accident happening.
