Alan Roper

Alan Roper

Alan was one of the founders of Howell-Jones Partnership along with Keith Howell-Jones and Peter Scott in 1977. He has been a Solicitor since 1974 and has specialised in the Personal Injury field since 1985, being involved in all types of claims including many substantial recoveries for clients.   Alan trained in Kensington and honed his litigation skills for several years working in Lincolns Inn Fields and practising in the High Court and London County Courts, and he is now in charge of the office at Walton-on-Thames.  He is the Director with responsibility for handling complaints and also Director with overall responsibility for the Family Team.

Alan is a Senior Litigator member of APIL (Association of Personal Injury Lawyers) and a member of AVMA  (Action for Victims of Medical Accidents).  He  is  a member of  the Law Society’s Personal Injury  Specialist Panel.

Alan is a Trustee of Walton , Weybridge and Hersham Citizens’ Advice Bureau and is the Bureau's Honorary Solicitor  where he organises free legal advice evenings.

A well-known figure in the local business community, he is a Past President of the Walton-on-Thames Rotary Club and is highly active in Rotary, both locally and internationally, recently involved in raising £27,000 for a local school for the disabled, and an initiative to build a hostel for Aids orphans in South Africa.
