Stephen qualified as a Solicitor in 1987 and spent five years working for a major West End practice, principally dealing with the Grosvenor Belgravia Estate.  He subsequently joined the in-house legal team at the Prudential where he spent a few years dealing with their property portfolio and worked on the team that wrote the strategy for the acquisition and disposal of the properties in the Prudential's insurance office portfolio.

Stephen joined Howell-Jones in May 2007, having spent a number of years away from law, working in IT and dealing with project management. His principal area of work is residential property although he also deals with smaller scale commercial property and Landlord and Tenant.

During the last few years Stephen has seen the property market rise and fall and rise and fall again and has extensive experience of the problems presented by this buoyant market and how to resolve them.

Away from the office Stephen is a keen cyclist and photographer and his other interest include travel, ballet and the theatre.
