All change at Companies House
08 August 2011
Companies House is changing its examination policy on company names to try and reduce the number of documents it rejects and to make sure documents are entered on the correct company record. The change will come into effect on 1 September 2011, so from that date, it will no longer accept company names on documents submitted to it which contain minor variations or typographical errors.
If documents are submitted where the company name has an abbreviation, it will reject them, except for a small number of abbreviations such as, "Co" instead of "company" and "Ltd" instead of "private limited company".
