Beko fridge-freezers recalled
14 July 2011
It has been widely reported in the media that some faulty Beko fridge-freezers have been recalled after they caused fires in peoples’ homes.
The BBC News website reports that 15 people have been injured and one person has died as a result of the fires in London alone. The BBC says more than 500,000 potentially faulty fridge-freezers have been sold in the UK and Beko are said to be writing to all customers.
The BBC reports that the London Fire Brigade warned Beko about the dangerous fridge-freezers in June 2010 but it appears no action has been taken by Beko until recently.
If you have suffered an injury as a result of a faulty Beko fridge-freezer or any other product, you may be entitled to compensation.
