Divorce rates rising in China

The national media has reported that up to 5000 divorces a day are being initiated in China, in contrast to England and Wales, where the divorce rates appears to be decreasing.
The media has also reported that China's Supreme Courts have tried to reduce the number of divorces by introducing new rules about a spouse retaining any assets which they brought into the marriage, in the event of a divorce.
