Health and Safety Executive fine scaffolding company after workers put at risk

13 October 2011

The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) has reported that a scaffolding company has been fined after it left unsecured scaffolding at a site.

The HSE visited the site and found that the scaffolding had not been adequately tied which meant it was unstable, putting workers at risk.

The HSE reported that they have been working with the scaffolding industry to provide guidance to help ensure scaffolding is safe but unfortunately not all scaffolding workers are following the guidance.
