We have previously reported that the Medicines and Healthcare Regulatory Agency has received complaints about the Implanon Contraceptive implant.
The legal resource, Lawtel has reported that a 20 year-old woman has received £18,500 in compensation after an Implanon Contraceptive implant was incorrectly inserted into her arm. She subsequently fell pregnant and underwent a late termination.
The woman’s compensation included the cost of treatment to deal with her psychological difficulties relating to her unexpected pregnancy and termination.
