Merger of Courts and Tribunal Services

Her Majesty's Court Service and the Tribunals Service will merge as of 1 April 2011. They will become a new, single organisation known as HM Courts and Tribunals Service.
This re-organisation and amalgamation of the administrative functions is expected to make the Court Service more effective and efficient.
As a result of this change, which take effect as of 1 April 2011, payment of court fees by cheque or postal order should be made payable to HM Courts and Tribunals Service.
