Negligence claims against GPs are increasing

12 August 2011

The Guardian newspaper has reported that the number of negligence claims against General Practitioners (“GPs”) is rising.  According to the Medical Defence Union, claims against GPs rose by 20%, from 2009 to 2010.  Most of the claims arose out of wrong or missed diagnosis.

We often receive enquiries from people who have been wrongly diagnosed by their GP or where the diagnosis has been missed altogether.  Our Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence team have many years of experience in dealing with negligence claims against GPs.

If you or a family member has received negligent treatment from your GP, contact our Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence team today for a telephone conversation or free, preliminary meeting.
