Professional negligence - solicitors' negligence did not cause loss and those solicitors were entitled to recover their fees

On 23rd September a Court found that although a firm had breached its duty of care, the breach had not caused a loss and those solicitors were therefore entitled to recover their reasonable fees.

This case serves to demonstrate that when considering professional negligence, all elements of the claim must be considered, not simply whether there has been a breach of the duty.
