The new RTA claims process… a year on

On 31 April 2010, a new claims process was introduced in England and Wales for Road Traffic Accident claims.
The process applies where:
- the accident has occurred on or after 30 April 2010; and
- the value of the personal injury claim is more than £1,000 but less than £10,000.
Claims are submitted online via a portal. The main aims of the new process were to make claims quicker, simpler and cheaper.
The portal has simplified RTA claims and we are pleased to say that it has enabled us to successfully obtain compensation for many of our clients in a matter of weeks, rather than months.
