Experience & expertise 
Simon joined the firm in 1998 as a trainee solicitor, qualified in 2000 and became a partner in 2004.  He is the firm's managing partner and is responsible for managing risk and compliance within Howell-Jones.

Simon advises clients on their business law requirements and has particular experience in private company mergers, acquisitions and disposals, including management buy-outs, buying and selling businesses, commercial agreements, franchise agreements, shareholder and joint venture agreements and advice on contracts. He advises many small owner-managed businesses and new business start ups. Known for his practical and commercial advice and his attention to detail, Simon has established long term relationships with many of his clients who include other professional firms, printers, opticians, publicans, restaurateurs, employment agencies and many other owner managed businesses.

Simon is one of the owners of the firm and has been appointed by his co-Owner Partners to oversee the day-to-day operation of the firm's affairs.

Outside of work

Away from the office Simon enjoys anything with two wheels, scuba diving and skiing with a bit of occasional cooking.
