Libia holds a law degree from The Open University and completed a Masters in Professional Legal Practice in 2018 with the University of Law in Guildford. Libia was admitted as a Fellow of the Chartered Legal Executives in 2022 and joined Howell Jones the same year.
Prior to joining Howell Jones, Libia worked at Herrington Carmichael in Camberley for two years and before embarking on her training as a legal executive, Libia volunteered for various charities such as Citizens Advice, Witness Service with Victim Support in the Magistrates and Crown Courts and the Free Representation Unit in London.
Libia has successfully passed the STEP exams in Administration of Estates, Administrations of Trusts and the Advanced Certificate in Will Writing and is working towards completion of the STEP Diploma in Will Preparation. Libia has a keen interest in tax matters and she successfully completed the Association of Taxation Technicians (ATT) in Inheritance Tax, Trusts and Estates and will continue her focus following completion of the STEP Diploma.
Libia specialises in the administration of estates and advising on and preparing Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney.
Libia is Colombian and moved to the UK 20 years ago. When Libia is not working or studying, she enjoys family life with her four children and husband of 19 years. She is also an active member of her local church; leading the Justice and Peace Group, CAFOD, the Fair Trade stall and serving teas and coffees after mass on Sundays.
