Mediation
Mediation is the resolution of disputes by a mediator who is not the agent of the parties in dispute, but a neutral facilitator who can help the parties agree on the issues and bridge them.
Courts are more and more frequently requiring parties to try mediation before allowing them to proceed with their law suits – so mediation is becoming commonplace.
It can work very well, but of course does not work if there is no real will to make it work.
The lawyers in our Dispute Resolution Teams are used to representing clients on both mediation and settlement discussions. Before the meeting takes place they will review the problem with you, develop a negotiation strategy and excercise their skills in the mediation/negotiation process to achieve the best possible result for you.
Our clients say...
