Clinical and Medical Negligence
If you or a relative have undergone medical or dental treatment or surgery that has fallen below the appropriate standards and you have been left with additional injuries or suffered as a result of the treatment, you may be entitled to compensation.
Clinical and medical negligence is a particularly specialised area of law and the results of negligence can often be very traumatic for the victim. Our team have many years of experience in dealing with clinical and medical negligence claims. We are able to offer expert advice and deal with cases in a highly professional but sensitive manner.
Although there is a three year time limit for claims it is best to contact us as soon as possible (see FAQ). You can complete the online Accident Report Form or alternatively, contact one of our team directly.
We will advise you how best to proceed and whether we think your claim will be successful. You should not be concerned for financial reasons as we usually arrange funding on a“no win no fee” basis.
Some examples of clinical and medical negligence that can be claimed for include:
-
Medical Negligence - Misdiagnosis of an injury or illness or poor management and care.
-
Negligent Care during a stay at Hospital – Injury or illness as a result of negligent care during a stay in Hospital.
-
Surgical Negligence – Injury or illness suffered as a result of a surgical procedure.
-
Cosmetic Surgery Negligence – Defective cosmetic surgery including non-surgical and surgical procedures.
-
Dental Negligence – Misdiagnosis, negligent dental treatment or injury suffered during dental treatment.
-
Negligence during Optical Procedures – Misdiagnosis, negligent optical treatment or injury suffered during optical treatment.
-
Medicine Claims – Injury or illness suffered as a result of incorrectly prescribed or distributed medication.
You may also have a claim if you think that your previous solicitors under-settled your clinical negligence claim or dealt with it negligently. If you think that you have a professional negligence claim, you can complete the online Accident Report Form or alternatively, contact one of our team directly.
We are not an “accident claims company”, our team are professionally trained lawyers and have many years experience in dealing with clinical and medical negligence claims.
We are always looking to provide an exceptional service to our clients. For this reason, should you need to speak to one of the lawyers in our Clinical and Medical Negligence team outside of normal working hours (9.00am and 5.30pm), please call them free on 0800 652 6059.
