On 25th September 2025, the team at Howell Jones Solicitors will be swapping their desks for exercise bikes as we take on our charity challenge: “On Your Bike”. Across our six offices, colleagues will be cycling a combined 405 miles – the same distance as a journey from the Royal Courts of Justice in London to the High Court of Justiciary in Edinburgh.
Our goal? To raise vital funds for The Lucy Rayner Foundation, a fantastic local charity that is making a real difference to young people’s mental health.
About The Lucy Rayner Foundation
The Lucy Rayner Foundation was founded in memory of Lucy Rayner, who tragically took her own life aged just 22. Her family set up the charity to shine a light on the growing crisis of mental health issues among young adults and to ensure no one has to face these challenges alone.
The Foundation works tirelessly to:
- Raise awareness of mental health in young people through campaigning and events.
- Provide support such as free and low-cost counselling sessions for those aged 14–39.
- Offer suicide bereavement services to families affected by loss.
- Deliver training and workshops to build resilience and open up conversations about mental health.
Their mission is simple but powerful: to help young people feel heard, supported, and less alone in their struggles with mental health.
How You Can Help
Every mile our Surrey solicitors ride is a step closer to supporting young people in need — but we can’t do it without your help. Your donation, however big or small, makes a real difference to the services the charity can provide.
Please support us on our JustGiving page here.
Thank you for your generosity and for helping us pedal towards a brighter future for young people’s mental health.
