Are you a graduate with a strong interest in pursuing a career in law? Are you looking for practical guidance, insight from experienced professionals, and support as you take your first steps into the legal profession?
We are delighted to announce the launch of our Graduate Mentoring Programme 2026. This programme has been designed to support aspiring legal professionals by pairing successful applicants with an experienced lawyer who will provide tailored advice, encouragement, and career guidance throughout the early stages of their legal journey.
programme structure.
The programme consists of three one‑to‑one mentoring sessions, all of which will be delivered remotely for your convenience. These sessions will take place during August 2026, with exact dates and times to be mutually agreed between the mentor and mentee.
Each session is structured to offer practical, relevant support while allowing flexibility to focus on your individual goals and concerns.
session 1 – applications and interviews.
In your first session, your mentor will review your CV and cover letter, offering constructive feedback and suggestions for improvement. You will also receive guidance on interview preparation and technique, helping you to present yourself confidently and professionally to potential employers.
session 2 – developing your skills.
The second session will focus on identifying and strengthening your transferable skills, such as communication, organisation, problem‑solving, and commercial awareness. Your mentor will help you understand how to evidence these skills effectively and how they apply within the legal profession.
session 3 – mentee’s choice.
The final session is intentionally flexible and led by you. This is an opportunity to discuss any questions, concerns, or topics you wish to explore, whether that be career planning, qualification routes, work experience, or balancing professional development with other commitments.
