We are proud to announce that Howell Jones Solicitors has been named Private Client Team of the Year at the 2026 Surrey Law Society Legal Awards.
The awards took place on Thursday 15 October at G Live in Guildford, bringing together firms and legal professionals from across Surrey to celebrate excellence, achievement and impact within the county’s legal community.
This latest recognition is particularly special for our Private Client team and follows another fantastic year for the department. Earlier in 2026, Howell Jones was named Private Client Law Firm of the Year at the Modern Law Private Client Awards and was Highly Commended for Private Client Team of the Year – South of England.
It also follows our success at last year’s Surrey Law Society Awards, where Howell Jones was named Law Firm of the Year (20+ Fee Earners).
Recognising the Whole Private Client Team
Our Private Client team supports individuals and families across a broad range of matters, including wills, lasting powers of attorney, probate and estate administration, trusts, Court of Protection matters, and succession planning. Our approach combines specialist legal expertise with clear, compassionate and practical advice, particularly at times when clients may be facing important or difficult decisions.
For Jon Creswick, Joint Head of Private Client, the award is above all recognition of the people behind the team:

This award is recognition for the culture and collective effort of the whole team, and I’m incredibly proud of everyone who has played a part in it.”
Strong Recognition Across the Firm
Our Private Client team’s win was one of three shortlistings for Howell Jones at this year’s awards, alongside our Family team, finalists for Family Team of the Year, and the firm itself, which was shortlisted once again for Law Firm of the Year.
