Howell Jones is seeking to recruit an experienced legal assistant or legal secretary to provide support to our busy litigation team.

responsibilities.

  • You will provide general administrative, secretarial and administrative support to our litigation team
  • Assisting in the management of a caseload of litigation matters including preparing correspondence and documents in draft
  • Liaising with clients in person, by telephone and correspondence, taking enquiries, making appointments
  • Managing client files and ensuring they are up-to-date and accurate

skills and experience required.

  • A minimum of six months of experience as a legal assistant, legal secretary or administrator, ideally within a litigation or family law setting
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Highly motivated, proactive individual with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work efficiently under pressure
  • Proactive and able to use initiative to solve problems
  • Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills and have an excellent telephone manner
  • Experience of case management systems and digital dictation
