I would like to say how much I appreciate all your hard work and commitment in progressing the sale. I think everyone at Howell Jones has done their utmost to bring a complicated and at times very stressful conveyancing process to a happy conclusion. I have particularly appreciated the friendly and responsive approach you have all taken. Howell Jones, and in particular Amira Hughes and her team, have done us great service over the last three years.

This was over two sets of property transactions. The first was the sale of the house of an elderly relative who had died. The other was the sale of our own house in North London and our move to SW London, to be near the family.

The second was particularly complex, and handled brilliantly by Amira and her team. We had too many problems to be listed here, but we are now on the home straight with contracts exchanged and the move in ten days.

One problem to highlight: at one point we were at risk of fraud. Amira spotted it, advised – and saved us.

I put a challenge out on a local Facebook group, with the title “Mission Impossible – find me a conveyancing lawyer who actually knows what they are doing, who does not require constant prodding, and who does not cause me to utter a single expletive.”

Amira from Howell Jones solicitors was recommended by many in the Facebook group from my local area. She was also alerted to my post by a friend, and as a measure of her goodwill and desire to win back my confidence in conveyancers, contacted me to take up the challenge.

She has not disappointed. Organising the sale of my Mum’s house and the purchase of another house, whilst overseeing her healthcare and finances, as well as working and living full time in my London taxi during Lockdown has been an enormous strain on me, and Amira has definitely helped keep me cool, calm, collected, informed and well-served under really trying conditions.

She has handled masterfully well the buyer’s agent and the solicitor from the house-sale, and negotiated a difficult broken chain situation on the purchase side of my challenge, all the while making me feel as if everything is under control and confident that things will work out.
