overview
Liz is a Partner and Deputy Head in our Legal 500 Recommended family team and a Resolution-accredited specialist in private children matters and high-value finance.
Liz has specialised in family law for over 30 years, and before joining Howell Jones in 2018, she practised family law at other local Surrey firms.
Liz covers all aspects of family law. This includes divorce and separation, financial remedy negotiations, pre- and post-nuptial/registration agreements, cohabitation and property disputes, and non-molestation and occupation proceedings. She also works on private children act proceedings and helps families or separating couples reach agreements to avoid stressful and costly court proceedings where possible.
Liz is a member of Resolution, an organisation which encourages family lawyers to promote a constructive approach to family issues. As part of this, she sits regular exams to retain her role as an accredited specialist lawyer in family law. This qualifies Liz to deal with complex cases involving significant property assets and complicated children matters.
Liz has a pragmatic and empathetic approach when acting for her clients. A lot of Liz’s work comes from recommendations from previous clients – a testament to her experience and the professionalism she gives her clients.
When not busy with work, Liz relaxes with a good book, catches up with friends, enjoys fine dining and spends time with her family.
